F.A.Q. (You Might Have)
(aka Frequently Asked Questions... not the other meaning)
Q: Can you remove (this and that) optional mod feature? When I set off for creating this mod, I wanted to translate my TTRPG character and her race, that's played under a completelly homebrew ruleset into BG3 & subsequently, D&D setting. It's primarily for roleplaying and flavor. If you don't like a feature ie. a custom tag, or the fact that you can use your spells with spellslots, rather than being more limited by the mod itself - remember, just because a feature exists, you're not forced to use it. I personally only use my Dragon form in really tough fights - you'd not want to show your secret to every rando Gobbo, would you?
-No.
Either way, while I'm not opposed to a suggestion there and there, I'll not go tearing my work apart for the sake of 'balance' or adding restrictions on something, where you can simply opt out of using it.
Q: The Dragon model is too small!
-Level up. They grow up so fast. :D
(There are currently three 'stages', when it comes to Dragon size, as you level up)[size=3]
Q: My Dragon form is not working! (Any form of glitch...)
-Nobody likes bugs. I don't either. I'll try to address bugs, withing my power. However, for that, I need to know more details about what exactly isn't working, what subrace and type of Half-Dragon are you playing and potentially, which other mods are you using. Without these informations at minimum, your report is going to be useless for me, and I won't be able to look into the issue.
Q: I want to be able to use my class's spells in Dragon form. Can you add this?
-You and me both, as that'd make sense, lore-wise. Unfortunately, Dragons miss a lot of animations, and a lot of vanilla spells, unless they are specifically custom made for the Dragon form, wouldn't look or even work right - that said, I might be able to give the Dragon form its' own spells in the future.
Q: How do I color the scales on the body?
-In Character Creator, find Horns slot and color your body scales through it. The colors there were specifically added, to match the facial scales as much as possible. You don't need to have any horns active on your character for this method to work.
Q: Can I make changes to your mod and publish them?
-No.
I'm OK with character customization patches, like additional heads, hair and so on - as long as you have permission from the original authors, but not with anything, that removes or overwrites assets that I've worked hard on. Of course, you are totally free to make personal edits for your own playthroughs (at your own risk, I ain't fixing it if you break it), but don't go reposting my mod.
Q: I want to make a patch for your mod. Can I publish it here?
-If it's just for your personal use - go ahead. As for publishing it - No. I don't allow patches on Nexus without contacting me first.
In general - There are some things I'd rather not see, ie. explicitly sexualized content, being patched into my mod.
Q: Will you add support for (this and that) face/head mod?
-The heads in my mod either use different material for eyes (lazy, temporary fix), or have reworked UVs of the eyeballs, for the Dragon-looking eyes looking so good. Ideally, when I'm done, all heads in my mod will get the UV edit approach. As such, I can't and won't alter someone else's work, without their permission. If you're an author of custom heads, and want my race to include your work - get in touch. I'll of course, credit you for the original work. Alternatively, I can tell you what steps to follow, to alter your heads as an option for my race.
Q: There are no tails for regular/small sized human-like bodies in CC
-Not a bug. I originally added Dragonborn tails as an after-thought, on several requests. This version of Half-Dragon is from original worldsetting/TTRPG ruleset, and Half-Dragons from this worldsetting do not have draconic features, aside of scales/eyes in human form; but I was OK adding tails and horns as an optional choice, since it exactly that; a choice someone can use. That said - Using dragonborn tails, they are only available for Bodytype 3 and 4 (strong bodytypes). Having them for regular bodytypes would require me to remodel the tails entirely, for them to fit the regular sized bodies - something I'm currently not interested in doing.
