Assigned a 10 page paper for an 8 week online course, and gave the prompt for the paper a week and a half before it was due. Also assigned a 13 page group project paper with little to no directions. It it clear that teaching is his side job because he clearly does not bother spending any time to explain the material. Extremely unorganized as well.

Dr. Suppiah was a great professor. He condensed the coursework to make it more efficient. I genuinely learned a lot from his class and he made it enjoyable. One group project (presentation and essay), one individual essay, 2 case studies, and 1-2 quizzes per week. 10/10 -> take his class!!!

Has a very nice college feel approach to teaching. Sure there are some curricular stuff ,but he mostly focuses in bring an understanding of real-life application. Talking about what to expect in this field and recent innovations. I was taking 6 classes and was happy to have had this as a easier but still impactful class.

Overall this class is a confusing waste of time, everything is based on a real project he is working on, but he overcomplicates everything and gets mad at students when they don't understand.Choices for this class are few but if you can find another prof, I would take them.

Dr Nick pretends to care, he doesn't. All of his class is based on his job, and he just talks about the drama there, instead of teaching. He bullies students, calls them out and makes fun of them. His assignments are unclear, and not always posted on D2L.He is funny sometimes, but overall I do not recommend this class.

Class wasn't hard at all. Only grades were simulation assignments for Microsoft Excel and Access graded on completion, a couple simple case studies, a midterm and final that were both open note, and a 10-page paper that's not hard as long as you don't procrastinate. Very self-paced class.

This class is super weird & confusing, the teacher doesn't teach you a single thing. You will take these Excel assessments & final assessments to grade u on the materials you've "learned" in class, Mr.Suppiah was weird w/ his due dates but he was also super flexible & changed the dates whenever we came together as a class & asked for an extension.

No idea how he has such high ratings. Everything was extremely confusing, due dates, what was due, etc. Required final paper and assignments due during a vacation break, left us with two weeks to do one last assignment, and absolutely ridiculous deadlines. Doesn't teach, does this part-time, zero study materials or test guidance. Just awful!

Dr. Suppiah is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is a professor because he wants to be. He believes in helping other students and cares about their success. He gives his students an opportunity to connect with anytime, and usually gives great advice whether it be about school or life. He explains everything thoroughly and concisely.

His take on IS is unlike any other. There is a learning curve for the first week as you get used to his conversational lecture style but once you get the hang of it its very easy. There is an excel assignment and final group project, both have a decent amount of work involved, however I think he just gives you a 100 if you complete it.

If I could take every class through him, I would. His take on IS is very unique, but I feel like I've learned more in this class, than any other one I've taken at KSU. He is very well respected, and as long as you show up to class (attendance is mandatory for good reason) and do the work, you'll excel (lol) in this class and have a blast. TAKE HIM!

Dr. Nick really cares about his students. He literally gave out his number for us to text him with any questions. He's hilarious too. Grade was made up by some assignments and quizzes, a midterm and final (no lockdown), and 1 big group project you have to present in suit & tie. If you actually want to learn about IS though, don't do his class.

He uses his classes to depress his students and gives us his most pessimistic view of the world. He seems like a genuinely happy guy, but I go to the mandatory class sessions and always leave somewhat sadder. He discusses AI and ethics. Class content itself is easy and he gives the least busy work. Make friends in class to help with Excel.

Dr. Nick is a great professor. He talks a lot about real world things and doesn't really lecture about the material. So if you are someone interested in IS and want to get a feel for it, I don't suggest him. If you want a pretty easy A and a fun hour of discussion most classes each week, he is your guy.
