USAA Rewards Visa Platinum Credit Card Approval
after the successful early exclusion on TU I thought to apply for a USAA credit card and was approved for the "USAA Rewards™ Visa® Platinum Credit Card" I just became a member on Saturday and applied on Sunday and was approved today Wednesday.
They made me send copies of my ID and after that I was approved for a measly 500.00 CL but I figure they'll give a credit line increase after I build my relationship with them.
wish I was more excited but 500.00 is really low esp reading about how people are getting 5,10 and 25k limits right off the bat. But hey I guess I gotta start somewhere!

Re: USAA Rewards Visa Platinum Credit Card Approval
Congratulations!
don't sweat the low cl. That's sort of a crapshoot anyway. 18 months ago I had one card with $500 cl. About a year ago I applied for amex b ce and a commerce visa. Amex approved $6000, commerce $1000. Since then, the commerce has increased to $2000, but the amex is at $27000. I'm up to 7 cards now, pushing $50000 total. Makes utilization pretty easy to manage.

Congratulations on your Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
Keep in mind...any cardholder requests for CLI's will require and additional HP. They don't have a SP option that is cardholder initiated

Re: USAA Rewards Visa Platinum Credit Card Approval
Congratulations on your USAA approval. Your 500 limit will grow for sure if you apply for limit increases (first request after 6 months) and I have found them to be very generous with limit increases so just hang in there. Wishing you the best of luck

Re: USAA Rewards Visa Platinum Credit Card Approval
Congrats! Sadly, USAA is very conservative when it comes to initially extending credit usually. They still require hard pulls for CLIs, but when they do give a CLI it's often very generous. Just give it six months and it'll grow. The other only downside is they will not convert your Visa to a Visa Signature once your limit is above $5,000 (at least not upon request). But, you have another foreign transaction fee Visa with no fee and primary auto coverage overseas, so there's that.

Chase: Sapphire Preferred, Freedom Unlimited | Citi: AA Platinum Select
Barclays: Aviator Red | GS: Apple Card | Paypal Credit
