To find out if your printer is connected to Wi-Fi, see if your printer's built-in menu has options for checking its Wi-Fi connection, or check the printer's manual for instructions about how to add it to a Wi-Fi network.
Sometimes power-cycling your printer can resolve the issue. Turn off your printer and unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug your printer back in, and then turn the printer back on.
Select your printer and then select Set as default. If you don't see the Set as default option, the Let Windows manage my default printer option may be selected. You'll need to turn that off before you can choose a default printer manually.
Make sure your printer is turned on and connected. Next to Add a printer or scanner, select Add device and follow the instructions to add your printer.
Restarting your PC can sometimes help to refresh the services and components necessary for your device to communicate with your printer.

If you're connected by cable, test it in all the ports on your device, and try a different one to be sure that cable isn't the problem. If you're connected by Wi-Fi, run a cable between your printer and computer to see if your printer is working. If it is, the issue could be your network connection.
Check the printer connections: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to the computer and power source. Verify that the USB, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi cables are securely connected. If using a network printer, check the network connection and ensure the printer has a valid IP address.
Check that the connection is working - i.e. USB cable, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Try printing from another device. This helps to identify if the problem is the printer or the client. If you've tried all the above and it's still not working, uninstall and reinstall the printer software and drivers.
One of the most common reasons for Wi-Fi printer connection issues results from entering the incorrect network password. This can happen when you're typing the password in on the printer's touch screen or numeric keypad. All it takes is a single missed character and your printer won't be able to connect.
Turn on your printer and ensure that it is in range of your Wi-Fi network. On your printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings or Wi-Fi setup menu. Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks. Enter your Wi-Fi network password if prompted.
Place the printer near the network router. Make sure paper is loaded into the input tray, and then turn on the printer. From the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings. Get the network name and password.
Turn off the computer or mobile device that you are attempting to print from. If the printer was set up on a network wirelessly or with an Ethernet cable, restart the router. If necessary, reconnect the power cord to the printer and to a wall outlet, and then turn on the printer.
